Hey everyone :waving_hand:

I’m building a small app and wanted to validate the idea.

The app would let you:
• upload or drag & drop a PDF
• server reads, parses, and extracts customer/order/product data
• it then populates the data in a UI as a draft order
• once the user confirms, it syncs the new order to their Shopify store

Basically: no more manually typing data from supplier PDFs.

The strong idea about this one is that you don’t have to create any templates for your PDFs – the LLM automatically reads the data and provides confidence scores.

I’ve already built a basic proof-of-concept where you can upload a PDF and create an order from it.
I realize this might be a bit of a niche use case, but I’d like to explore it further.

I’m not trying to make this a 100% Shopify-only app — more like an independent tool that integrates via API key.
Over time, I plan to add other integrations (like ShipStation), so you could manage all your PDFs in one place.

Would this be something useful for you?
Curious if anyone else struggles with this manual PDF → order workflow.

I’ve seen some partial Zapier workarounds.

We actually built a solution that does exactly what you described: our Shopify app LevelOps B2B PDF To Order allows uploading or simply receiving PDFs/emails, and then it parses the customer/order/product data, populates a draft order in Shopify, and you confirm it.
It removes the need for manual re-entry of supplier POs/orders, reducing errors and saving time.
