I deal with toys and all items have a barcode. When I buy a collection is there a way to scan that barcode, grab basic product info and add it to product inventory? Ebay/Amazon/Shop Savvy - all can scan a barcode and bring back basic info. I need a way to quickly scan and add inventory(I can fine tune the the listing later), most apps I have seen are overkill and are very vague about what product information it can bring in.

The primary data to capture would be:
Product Title
Vendor
Any descriptive info that can auto populate product description
Sku or Barcode
Weight
Just wondering if you ever got an answer? I’m looking for the same thing…just want to scan the barcode so I can import the basic info into Shopify without manually typing everything! 
No, I never found anything. I guess you can add all your products to amazon(using their app) and then export it into shopify. Did not try it as it would be a huge pain in the butt.

Yes! We want this too. We just switched from Square to Shopify. Square had this, We assumed Shopify would too, because it generally has more functions. We have a small shop with over 5000 items, we want to be able to unpack a box of books and enter them into products by scanner or ISBN, and have the product populate with title, description, and image. We would love some guidance.
