I created my Shopify store 2 days ago and subscribed to the 1-euro plan. My store wasn’t published yet, and I was just using it to learn how to use the platform since I am a beginner. This morning, when I logged in, I received the following message:
“After reviewing your information and website, we have determined that you are in violation of Section 7 of the Shopify Acceptable Use Policy and we are therefore unable to support your business. We are terminating your account in accordance with our right in Section 14.3 of Shopify Terms of Service.”
Based on my research, Section 7 mainly concerns the products sold on the platform, etc. However, I only intended to sell rain boots. I had barely set up anything on the store—I was still working on the homepage, with only 2 photos and some text written by me.
I am very stressed and disappointed by this news, as my store wasn’t even open to the public yet.
