Apple Pay not showing on Checkout, only G Pay

Hi All,

Working on a site and for some unknown reason apple pay isnt showing as a payment option, only GPay.

At first i thought this was due to password protection, but since removing it, theres still no option for apple pay. We’ve tried all sorts of things, turning all off and back on etc but had no luck

Anybody had this issue and found and ways to resolve this?

Thanks in advance!

Hey @Dutsford ,

I see you’re having trouble getting Apple Pay to show up on your checkout page. Here are a few things you can double-check to make sure everything’s set up correctly.

First, make sure you’re following the official guidelines for enabling Apple Pay on your Shopify store: Enabling Apple Pay on a Shopify Store.

Also here is a troubleshooting instruction from Shopify itself incase the Apple pay in not visible on the checkout page:

If the Apple Pay button doesn’t display in your checkout, then make sure that you meet all the requirements for using Apple Pay.> > If your customer is using the Buy Button to pay for their order, then Apple Pay won’t be offered because it’s not supported by the Buy Button sales channel.> > Apple Pay isn’t displayed in the checkout when the Company name field is Required as part of the checkout process.

One other important thing to keep in mind: Apple Pay only shows up when you’re using Safari on a Devices compatible with Apple Pay. So if you’re checking from a non-Apple device or a different browser, you might not see it — but your customers still can.

Try previewing the checkout in a private Safari window on an iPhone, or even better, ask a friend or colleague to test it on their Apple device just to be sure.

Additionally, I came across a similar discussion in the Shopify Community — it might be worth checking to see if any of the suggestions there apply to your case: Apple Pay not showing on express check out

I hope this helps!
