Hi there, @kikoisajloski !
I’m sorry to hear you’re running into an issue with the address autocompletion feature, I’d be happy to look into this with you.
I would first ensure that you and your buyers are located in a supported region. Currently, this feature is available to customers in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States. If you are located in one of these countries but the form still isn’t working, I would try starting with the address number instead of the street name (for example, type in 123 Street rather than just Street).
If you’re still unable to get this feature to work, could you share your store’s URL with me? I can go through the checkout myself and see if the autocomplete function works for me.
I look forward to helping you out further — please let me know if I missed anything!
Hi, @kikoisajloski !
Thank you for getting back to me. When I went through the checkout on your store, I saw that shipping is only available to addresses in Mexico. As I shared before, Google Autocomplete is only available for customers in certain countries, and Mexico is not currently supported.
I understand how helpful this feature would be for your customers, so I’ve gone ahead and submitted feedback to our developers on your behalf about having this feature added for addresses in Mexico. I can’t guarantee this change will be implemented, but if it is, it will be included in the Shopify Changelog.
Thanks again for getting in touch, and please let me know if you have any other questions!
I’m having this issue with Puerto Rico, but isn’t Puerto Rico considered part of the USA as a territory? Thanks!
Hi, @ayellowgiraffe !
Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention.
It looks like there’s a discrepancy between how Google and Shopify write U.S. territories into our code, which leads to territory addresses (like Puerto Rico) to not autocomplete, even though they should. I don’t have a timeline for when the issue will be resolved, but rest assured our developers are investigating and working on a fix.
Thank you again for flagging this!
Hi Greta,
Is this list still correct or have more regions been added. Do you have up-to-date list hosted?
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States.
Thanks,
Hey, @Ben-Barton !
Thanks for reaching out.
The feature is currently available for customers in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States (I bolded the countries we’ve added since my last post). We will be gradually adding countries as we validate their address structures.
You can always find the updated list of countries in our help document.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with!
Hi Greta,
Thanks for your support on this question. I have this same issue and our business / all addresses are located within the United States. Here is a link to our site: https://panolla.com/
Essentially, on the checkout page, if you use autofill for the email, it cancels out the card info autofill, and vice versa. Meaning a manual entry is always required (either email or card info). Any guidance on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi, @Eli_Groves !
Thanks for reaching out. Can you share some more details on what you mean by the credit card autofill? Credit cards aren’t saved within Shopify unless you’re using Shop Pay. Would you happen to have a screenshot or video of what happens when you enter in your email/phone number?
I look forward to helping you further!
Hi Greta,
Is this feature going to be able in Mexico, ill be really helpful. Can we do something with IT to support this issue?
Regards,
Alex.
Hi, @azorrilla94 !
Thanks for reaching out. The address autocomplete feature isn’t currently available for customers in Mexico, but rest assured we’re working with Google to enable this feature for more countries! I have shared your feedback with our developers.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with!
Hi @Greta_3
May I ask if it is in the pipeline to include Ireland on this feature?
I’m currently looking at the possibility of custom coding this via an extension which does not seem viable.
Would be great to know if this will be rolled out this year.
Thank you.
Hi, @dev_93_1 !
Thanks for sharing your feedback. I don’t have additional information as to if and when Ireland will have this feature, but I will definitely let our developers know that it’s something you’d be interested in!
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with.
Hi Greta!
and a workaround solution? maybe an app to resolve this, I am based on Chile, and I just move from WIX, and one good thing of WIX is they have autocomplete, its rare Shopy doesnt have a solution.
I just had a chat with support and they suggest me to use Easy Google Address Autocomplete" or “Address Autocomplete by SolverCircle” but I was not able to find it.
Thanks!
Max
Hey, Max! Address autocompletion is available to customers in the countries listed here. We’ll let our developers know that you’d like to see the feature available in Chile. I haven’t been able to locate those apps either, but something like Address Validator Plus might help.
Hello There ,
I live in Canada, and have the same issue. I can see the drop down menu appearing when I put in the name of the location etc (Ocean view funeral home) but the system only populates the city and postal code and not the address.
My website address is www.petalino.com
Thank you
