Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an app that automatically applies a discount to cart based on customer segments AND it works with express checkout. I recently added an automatic discount app only to find out that the discount will not apply in express checkout. This is a real problem for us. I welcome any and all suggestions :blush:

Just checked in with my team at Alpha Sale — this really depends on the type of checkout you’re using.

If you’re using Shop Pay, or PayPal, Alpha Sale & Discount Manager should be a perfect solution for you.

But if you’re using some kind of external checkout, it really depends on whether that method supports automatic discounts at all, so it’s a bit tricky to say for sure. One way to check would be to see if Shopify’s standard automatic discounts apply. If so, then our app’s customer-based discounts will work too. Or just let me know which checkout you are using, and we’ll test it on our end.
