Hello,

I’m looking to setup an online store for a convenience store, I want to offer only local delivery. Shopify seems to tick all the boxes but the only problem I have is that I can’t find a simple solution to automatically print invoices/receipts as they come in.

I want the orders printed to a small wireless printer that will be placed in the shop, as soon as an order comes in, it should print off a receipt or invoice stating what’s been ordered, customer contact details, and the delivery address.

How do I do this or what’s the best app that can achieve this function?

Hey there – our app Starshipit can do this for you. You can automatically send orders to your printer as they come in, along with a packing slip too which includes what has been ordered and the relevant customer details.

Natively, within Shopify this would not be possible to automate this. However, with a few additional third-party connections you should be able to set something like this up. Using Google Cloud Print, the Order Printer app in the Shopify app store, and a Zapier account.

  1. Google Cloud Print Setup:
  • Connect your wireless printer to Google Cloud Print. Ensure it’s connected to the internet and registered with Google Cloud Print.

2. Install Google Cloud Print on Your Computer:

  • Download and install Google Cloud Print on the computer connected to your wireless printer. Follow the setup instructions to link your printer.

3. Google Cloud Print App on Your Mobile Device:

  • Install the Google Cloud Print app on your mobile device from the app store.

4. Google Cloud Print Setup in Chrome:

  • Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  • Navigate to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Google Cloud Print > Manage Cloud Print devices. Add your wireless printer.

5. Shopify Order Printer App Setup:

  • Install the Shopify Order Printer app from the Shopify App Store.

We don’t have a computer at that shop, is there any app you can recommend that has this feature instead of doing all that?

Thanks for the reply, I think you’re app is too expensive for a local convenience store. The app costs more than my whole Shopify package.

Gold. Will give it a shot, however will need to think of a work around since Google Cloud Print was discontinued.

I’ve found the perfect app by PrinterCo

It is cheaper than the rest and does exactly what I need it to. Automatic order printing if needed, auto order accepting if needed, they sell the printers that are needed, can accept, edit, or decline orders on the small wifi printer. You can select delivery times as well, has SMS integration though that is a tiny bit more expensive than other SMS apps.

Sounds like I’m promoting them but I’m not, so much of my problems were solved after finding that they offer the whole package.
