B2B Setup

Topic summary

A business operates both B2C and B2B websites and needs different checkout experiences for each channel.

Current Setup:

  • B2C customers see calculated checkout with shipping and VAT included in final price
  • B2B customers receive 40% discount and should see prices excluding VAT
  • Custom catalog configured for B2B

Despite the custom catalog setup, VAT is still being included in the total price at checkout for B2B customers.

Proposed Solution:
Advised to create a second store separate from the B2C site.

Status:
The user is seeking alternative solutions to avoid creating a separate store while achieving the desired B2B checkout experience with VAT-excluded pricing.

we run both b2b and d2c website and we would like a separate checkout experience. So by default our d2c members will see a calculated checkout where their shipping and VAT is included in the final price, however, our B2B we have a different approach. Our b2b will have 40% off excluding VAT. We’ve setup a custom catalog for this one but during checkout, the total price still includes VAT. We’re advised to create a second store separate from the d2c but are there any alternatives?
