Bank Transfer is acceptable payment method?

We have some customers who will only pay by EFT (bank Transfer) - does Shopify accept this form of customer payment?

Hi @BaaBaa Welcome to Shopify Community.

There is no native functionality for this but definitely, this can be done through custom coding only if you are on Shopify plus plan. You can check something similar on HeadphoneZone.
(Add items worth INR 35000 and more to check the solution)

We are newbies and have not yet processed any sales.

For us this payment issue is very important that we get it right before we attempt to process any EFT payment sales..

Before shopify, we simply allocated the payment received in our bank account to the customer order/invoice. That is, we made the customer invoice to ‘paid’.

In Shopify can we do the same?

Perhaps we can treat this as an ‘over the counter’ sale where the customer paid cash?

A feature such as this is only available to our Shopify Plus merchants upon review, as already mentioned by @MarmetoCare . That being said, have you checked out our help doc on manual payments here? This will walk you through the types of manual payments methods available to you on your store. May I ask where are you based?
