Black Friday & Cybermonday what did you learn you wish you knew ,or had a solution for next year?

With this years BFCM ending, it can be helpful while an event is fresh in the mind to go over lessons learned to make the next years BFCM even better.

Retrospectives

How did you prepare for BFCM on shopify, and how did that go?

Were goals met, if not what do you think could have helped?

Any apps or services you thought would be useful and turned out to be amazing? or not?

Any problems you couldn’t find solutions for with apps or services ? why?

What non-shopify things did you do that REALLY helped you manage BFCM? A new chair, caffeine , hired new staff, kittens, services etc

What weren’t you able to do, you know you must be able to do next year?

How are you preparing for next year, and how soon?

What do you think new merchants should know, and do, before their first BFCM?

Shopify’s Resources

Did you use any shopify resources, did they help?

Extras- What are some questions you think should be talked about pre and post-BFCM missing from this post or the community in general?

  • Even though BFCM has past, how long till after that do you consider it officially over for fulfillment, customers, or support?

Remember even if you don’t have the answers , thinking about these type of questions BEFORE a BFCM can help identify potential issues in advance

Awesome post topic, yet zero replies.

@SpotterJ Hit or miss with these things /shrug , especially time sensitive ones.

Also it’s partially rhetorical as some may not be comfortable talking publicly about business experiences.

It’s a pity because this type of discussion is more important than 90% of the stuff talked about here; how to conduct business > centering the contact form in the footer
