BUG: some sessions incorrectly marked as the wrong country

no clue where else to post a bug report, not relevant enough for hackerone and there’s no option anywhere else.

it seems that some sessions are, from what i can tell, randomly marked as a country that the session is not actually from. we’ve had several customers complain about not seeing any products on our store for a couple months now, and the only product they saw was the only one marked as available to international markets.

none of these customers were international.

just today my session inexplicably got marked as i believe being from bermuda? which helped in determining what was causing our issue, but also, how???

i’m not running a vpn, don’t even have one installed. the shopify live analytics even seems to accurately determine that i’m in dallas. but checking my cookies my localization is set to BM, i’m assuming bermuda.

we’ve had complaints about this since around halloween, if that coincides with any infrastructure update made.

the automated chat gives me directions to give a bug report for shopify pos systems. that route is a dead-end.
