Bulk price change without using an App

There is a built in facility on Shopify for changing all prices in bulk, unfortunately you can only select percentage increase, you cannot select a fixed price increase such as a £1 increase. This makes no sense if you are going to have a built in system for price change why would you not include fixed price increase as well as percentage increase???

Can Development look into adding this in future updates?

To see the existing built in option for bulk price change go to settings> markets> select Country> products and pricing> there you will see a price increase or decrease option by percentage, but no fixed price option, this would be a great additional which would really help merchants make a quick price change without having to export to CSV and then import back into Shopify which is really time consuming

This would be a relatively simple system update which would benefit many merchants

Hopefully Shopify can look into adding this to the existing system?

I don’t think there’s a way but a couple ideas that may help if you don’t want to use an app:

  • Hire a virtual assistant to handle processing tasks like this, create an SOP with clear steps to update the csv and send back to you, then you review and upload into your store

  • Export csv in Shopify, ask chatgpt to increment the price column by 1, then upload the new csv
