Can a quiz lead to a hidden product page for my subscription service?

We have a very complicated idea in our brains right now, and maybe there’s a way to accomplish.. either how we imagine it, or some other (hopefully way less complicated way).

We are building a subscription based clothing service. We need our customers to fill out a questionnaire that leads them to our product page. There is basically only one product (the box) with 4 potential options (the different style avenues), but we don’t want our customers to be able to access the box (product page) without having taken the quiz first.

We signed up with Visual Quiz Builder to make our quiz (although we are open to other apps), and we’re hoping that the end of the quiz can link our customers to an otherwise invisible product page, so that they can add the box to their cart and check out. Does what I’m describing make sense? Sound possible? Exist in some way already? Thank you!!

Hey, @seamsbetter

Happy to help. The easiest way to accomplish this would be to remove any sort of navigation links in your top navigation that lead to a particular product or collection page. Simply use one of those quiz apps and add that link to the quiz in your navigation.

That way your customer is funneled through the quiz by either clicking on a call-to-action button somewhere on your homepage, or from the header navigation.

A couple other product recommendation quizzes I recommend checking out are the following:

Thanks @Dirk ! This was pretty much what I was imagining. I may have additional questions as I go, but I’ll start from there now.

Okay @Dirk , I immediately have another question (and remember that this issue was exactly why I was confused in the first place). The product has options… and when I create the checkout link, it requires a selection to be made. Is there a way to leave the options open so that the consumer can pick one at checkout? Or would I just need to build a quiz that would lead to that decision (like a product recommendation quiz)?

Good question, @seamsbetter

when I create the checkout link, it requires a selection to be made. Is there a way to leave the options open so that the consumer can pick one at checkout?

So you are using prefilled cart links? If that’s what you are referring to, prefilled checkout links are rigid in the sense that they include the items that you chose to be in the cart. They cannot be left open for customization from the customer. In your case, the best option is to utilize a product recommendation quiz.
