hi, trying to figure out a way we can use automatic discounts with discount codes at checkout, on the same item. Not sure if this is something that’s possible?
Hello! I can’t quite figure out what you mean here - you want to use an automatic discount code every time you purchase that same type of item, or…?

I wanted to be able to use an automatic discount and a discount code at checkout together. I’ve managed to find the app discountduck that’s allowed me to do that now anyways.

At present, discount codes can’t be used at the same time as automatic discounts. This is to help store owners avoid customers stacking discounts and costing store owners loss of revenue.
Currently, if a customer does try to use a discount code when there is already an automatic discount in place, then the automatic discount will take precedence.
I can pass this on as a feature request to our developers internally, although there’s no guarantee if or when it will be implemented. So I’m glad that you’ve managed to find a workaround with a third-party app.
However, I’d also love to understand what it is that you’re selling and what you’re like to achieve with your sales so that I can possibly advise on alternative strategies for achieving those goals!
