Is it possible to add a Canada Post discount offer code to shipping? I just received a 20% off small business shipping till the end of 2022.

You can absolutely receive your Canada Post discounted rates via Shopify. However, as Shopify works directly with Canada Post to provide discounted rates via Shopify Shipping. It might actually cost you more to use your Canada Post account instead. Allow me to explain.

Currently, Shopify works with carriers like Canada Post, USPS, and Australia Post to provide discounted shipping labels on all Shopify Plans. This way, you can purchase and print labels directly from Shopify at a discounted rate. Generally, these rates are even better than the business discount provided by Canada Post.

However, there are situations where the Canada Post direct discount via your carrier account is a better rate. This is generally true with merchants who purchase a large volume of labels. If this is true for you, and you would like to use your carrier account instead, you will need to enable Carrier Calculated Shipping to your Shopify account.

Carrier Calculated Shipping allows you to retrieve your specific discounted rates from your carrier account and purchase these labels in your admin. This feature is free on the Shopify Advanced Plan. If you are on the monthly Professional Plan this can be added for $20 a month. To have this added to your account please reach out to our live advisors who can enable this for you. Once CCS is enabled, you can follow our guide to connect your Canada Post account.
