Canada Post Shipping rate in Shopify is not accurate

Hi, I’ve been selling stuff on Shopify for about a year now. I ship with Canada Post. However, the rates provided by Shopify at the checkout from the user are always less than what I actually paid Canada Post for a shipping label. Have you guys encountered this problem before?

I am reluctant to charge my buyer a handling fee as that might affect my sales.

Have you checked this issue with the Shopify or the Canada Post teams? It is always better to crosscheck & check your shipping settings.

However, if you are open to using your own Canada Post account which gives you more control over the shipping charges, then I will suggest taking a look at the PH MultiCarrier Shipping Label app. The app allows you to get rates based on your product weight & dimensions.
