I have an online store for which I house the inventory. I am wondering if I can add items to be drop-shipped through oberlo while still having items that I will fulfill and ship myself?
Additionally, for those of you who drop ship with oberlo, is there any packaging customization available with the vendors you all use?

This is something you can definitely do - lots of merchants have a selection of their own products available on their site, as well as products they’ve sourced from dropshippers. You would just need to fulfil your own items yourself, and then fulfil your Oberlo products using Oberlo! There’s a video tutorial here on how to order a product from AliExpress once you get a sale, this will walk you through what to do, step by step. For the items you will fulfil and ship yourself, you can follow this guide from our help centre on the ways you can fulfil your orders.

Thanks so much! I appreciate it. I have already made some sales with the items I am fulfilling myself. I wanted to add drop shipped products to my online store but wasn’t sure about merging the two so thank you for clarifying.

For customising your dropshipped packages - this is something that would depend on the supplier you use. Some suppliers will work with you to create a custom package for your brand, then they can ship your products using that custom packaging. I’d recommend reaching out to the supplier directly first to see if this is something they would offer. Oberlo have a handy guide here that goes over how to get in touch with a supplier!
Alternatively, you could buy a stock of inventory from a supplier via Oberlo/AliExpress if they do not offer customisable packages, and have them shipped to you directly. This would mean you would need to store the products yourself, as well as ship the orders to your customers. Shipping couriers can help here too! You would then have total control over the quality of the products you sell and the shipping/packaging process. This gives you the chance to create your own boxing and packaging, and even offer faster shipping. There is a comprehensive guide here on how to personalise product packaging, just to give you some ideas!
Shapewear and beachwear is a great idea, both very lucrative niches! Are these the products you are dropshipping? I can see Printful, a Print on Demand dropshipper, is currently offering a range of swimwear items if you were interested in printing your own designs onto the products themselves. With Print on Demand, you would order the items you need once a sale goes through - similar to dropshipping with AliExpress! No inventory is essentially needed, you would just order and print as you go.
