Can I avoid international CC fees for US orders with a Canadian store using Shopify Payments Canada?

We are a Canadian based company selling exclusively to the US market and do not currently have an EIN or SSN. We don’t want to get hit with international CC fee for US-based orders. Will setting the currency to USD enable us to avoid the international CC fees?

Check out this article and solution. With Stripe and this solution, you can accept payments in multiple currencies with many payment methods. For Stripe CA accounts, Stripe only adds a 0.8% surcharge for international card payments.
