Can I buy an additional license for the same theme?

Hi Support,

We already bought a paid theme Xtra for one Shopify account, now we need to use the same theme in another account. Can we purchase/add one more license of the same for another account instead of buying a full theme?

Hi @redsolstore welcome to the Shopify Community,

If the theme comes with an activation code then you need to buy another one for your other store, If you can use theme without activation code then you can use it as many stores as you want.

We purchased it from https://themes.shopify.com/themes/xtra/styles/maximum here. Can we use this theme again with another account?
Please share steps

You an download the zip file to your email and reuse it.

Online store > theme > click on the three dots near to the customize button > download theme files in the drop down

Thank You. Now we are going to publish to reuse a theme in another store, will there be trouble in the future regarding theme updates, or in existing stores that have the same theme? Please clarify

I dont think so as i described that if there is no activation code required you are good to go. You just need to remove tracking codes of the store where from you downloaded the theme.

How do we check was used activation code or not at the time of installation as we don’t remember if we used the activation code or not?

you can check your theme files like theme.liquid file for tracking codes also i guess there is no activation code required for Xtra theme on using multiple stores.
