Can I change the store name at checkout without altering the bank account?

I recently opened a second shop on Shopify and connected my old Klarna bank account to it.

Now, when people check out with Klarna, it shows my old company’s name at the checkout and I would ideally like to see the name of the current store at the checkout (See screenshot attached).

Does anybody know if it is possible to change the name in the checkout (covered in blue in picture attached) of the store without changing the bank account? Would be really glad if anyone can help in this regard.

Apologies for the delayed response.

Shopify supports Klarna within Shopify Payments (per: https://docs.klarna.com/platform-solutions/shopify/), so to update the name in your checkout, please reach out to Shopify support. The Shopify Gurus can take your request and get it to the correct team over in Klarna.

Some additional supporting information: if a merchant wants their business name updated in Klarna, they will need to provide their organizational number so Klarna can verify that the name was legally changed, but the store/brand name can be changed at will.

  • Store/Brand name: will be displayed in the Klarna branding on the merchants shop and in the Klarna consumer app

  • Business name: is displayed on consumer invoices


As for updating logos, which are displayed in Klarna consumer communications and statements.

  • Logo: PNG or JPEG. Ideally square. Resolution: 256x256 px or higher. (Transparent background works best)
  • Background image: PNG or JPEG. Resolution: 1440x1080 px or higher.
