Can I integrate a store into my GoDaddy website seamlessly?

Hi

I already have a website with GoDaddy where I sell my music, etc. I do have a store in my menu. Is it possible to integrate this store into my website without an issue?

I think implies 3 answers .

There are a couple of options in which each of the options has its pros and cons.

Option 1:

You keep your website and the products you would like to sell at GoDaddy and add the Shopify Buy Button aka Shopify Lite. This would allow you to add literally a “Buy” Button to your products on any website outside of Shopify. The plan costs $9/month.

I would recommend this option, if your website has a lot of content (not products). In Shopify, it might take some time to set up extensive content. If, after some time, you’ll like to optimize your website, you can start thinking to switch completely to Shopify or, if other sales channels work better, keep everything at GoDaddy.

Option 2:

You keep your website, and you create a Shopify store where you sell your music. On the website, you’ll set a link to the store. I would recommend this option, if your website has a lot of content and music to sell. However, you’ll be paying GoDaddy Hosting & Domain + Shopify Basic Plan. I am uncertain if paying both is worth it.

Option 3:

Your transfer your complete website to Shopify. If your content can be displayed on 2-3 Pages (& Blog) you can set this up in Shopify in no time. If you have a lot of music, and you primarily are interested in selling the music, I think this might offer the smoothest way of monetizing your music.

There are many factors that I have not taken in account, like other channels you might be selling your music, the content scope (e.g. blog, articles) and what your visitors expect from your website.

But I hope this helps you in your decision-making process.

This has been very helpful.

In my case, I don’t just sell music. I have a blog. I also have links to my concerts etc on that website so I wouldn’t really want to do anything drastic. I’ll look at the options again and see which one makes more sense for what I do and what my customers would expect.

How do I add Shopify lite to my GoDaddy website? I do not mind paying the $9.00 to have the shop payment feature on my site.
