Can I manage an international online store without a local business address?

Hi, I had a confusion about a couple of things and would love to gain some clarity on them.

Firstly, if I am in country A and want to open a Shopify account in Country B and sell my products there, can I do it without having an official business address in Country B for it? What other things will I need to have to operate my business in Country B sitting in Country A?

Secondly, assuming I fit every requirement to operate my business in Country B from Country A, can I manage its finances without having a bank in Country B? I only have a bank account in Country A, therefore it qualifies as an international bank or a bank overseas.

Any help would be appreciated

Thank You

So you wouldn’t necessarily be operating the store from ‘country B’.

You’d create the store, and have a business license, and a bank account from your own country (‘country A’), and then if you only want to make sales to ‘country B’ then you’d just use Shopify’s “markets” functionality to show the prices and language of the site in that country’s default.

You can also set the store’s base/default currency to be the same as the country you want to sell to. You would need a bank account that’s in the currency that you have the store’s default set too though, in order to successfully receive the payouts.
