Can Shopify and Ali-Express order numbers be matched for personalized products?

Hello,

Customers on my store need to email my Ali-Express supplier to send them a personal photo to put inside of the bracelet I am selling. To do this they need to send the order number and picture to the Ali-Express suppliers email. Do Shopify and Ali-Express order numbers match up so that when they get an order number after they purchase through my store, they can send that order number and their picture, and the Ali-Express supplier would know what they are talking about. If not, is there anything I can do?

When you fulfill an order through AliExpress, you’ll be passing along the customer’s name and address to the supplier so they can ship the product to the right place, but they might have their own order number.

How are you currently communicating this process to customers? I’m wondering if you can request the picture from the customer and pass it on to the supplier when you place the order with them, rather than having the customer contact the supplier.
