Is there an option through Shopify for marketing to direct areas? We need help getting our name and product (moonshine) to Washington DC.

To specifically target your marketing efforts to Washington DC through your Shopify store, you can utilize geotargeting and select the most suitable advertising platforms based on your product and audience.
I suggest that you use FeedHub to sync products from your Shopify Catalog to Facebook, Instagram, Google and TikTok. Then you can leverage each platform’s geotargeting features to run ads toward the Washington DC customer group.

Both Google ads and Instagram / Facebook ads have regional targeting you can set to only target the Washington DC area.
Another trick is to input as many SEO keywords that include Moonshine & Washington DC in your site and product description.
If you have an offline presence in the area, I would suggest putting product inserts into your product that highlight your online store. So if people want to buy more they simply need to order online.
Lastly, if you want to fine-tune your marketing, create a post-purchase survey on your Shopify store asking which area of DC your customers are coming from, and focus more marketing efforts on that.
