Can Shopify Payments be primary and Authorize.net as secondary gateway?

Is it possible to set Shopify Payments as primary gateway and Authorize.net as secondary ?

Hi @Silk21

The checkout experience will only allow for one dominant payment gateway that offers checkout via credit card. You can enable additional fast pay checkouts alongside that (Google Pay, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, etc) but those options are only available to certain customers.

@Shay Hi! thanks for your response

I’m asking this question in order to migrate subscriptions from authorize as mentioned here.
I know it is possible to set stripe and braintree as a secondary gateway and I was wondering if we can set authorize as well

Thank you for the clarification! It appears you can set Stripe and Braintree as a legacy subscription payment gateway in order to migrate the subscriptions to Shopify Payments. This is not the same as having this available as a secondary payment gateway.

I’m not a developer so I am not sure of all the steps for this migration process. Have you enabled the beta flag on your store and does Authorize.net have the available option to be marked for legacy subscriptions?

I would recommend connecting with partner support through your partner dash to learn more about this process and what is currently supported.
