This is messing up my checkout process in a major way, has only recently started happening.
I’ve really started seeing the issue since the implementation of markets, and now OS2.0.
My store is not in the US but my default currency is in USD as my payment gateway uses that as its primary currency for checkouts.
I am not allowed to change my default country in markets to my country it HAS to default to US according to shopify, but my question is WHY ? I am not located in the USA!.
I am not the only person having similar issues why are you all forcing default country selection when this can be made a simple select menu option in the admin.??
My biggest problem at the moment is if a customer registers for my newsletter they automatically gets selected as a customer in the USA. I don’t have a shipping policy setup for the USA as I’m not offering shipping there, the customer is unable to select the correct address upon checkout as its only allowing a valid us address to be input. Therefor customer is unable to checkout.
I have to manually edit the customers account and set their default country as my country and then they can input their correct address!! This is absolutely crazy!!!
