Can Shopify track sales made on other websites?

Hi! Our online shop offers products from different shops. One of our participating shops would like us to provide and option for the client to go from our shop to her shop and complete the transaction there. She told us that there is an option for “a code” or app that could track these transactions and give us credit for those sales made directly on other websites. Is this something we can do with SHopify? Get the client interested in more products, and directing them to another website still making profit of the final sale?

Great question, I am interested in this too. Ideally, a Shopify Store will be able to create a code and hand it to a third party entity (a person, website, android/ios app, etc…).

Every “add to cart”, “checkout” from the third party would then be verified and tracked by the store as well.
