I am currently migrating my store from Woocommerce/ Wordpress to Shopify. I use Stripe for all payment processing and Stripe Radar does a fantastic job of blocking fraudulent payments. Since Shopify payments is powered by Stripe, is there any way to integrate Stripe Radar into my checkout using Shopify payments? I do not see Stripe as an external payment processor if I wanted to use Stripe on its own as well.
Thanks for your response. So just to confirm - there is no way to use Stripe Radar, I will have to use one of those alternative apps you listed? And is there any way to use Stripe on its own as a payment gateway?
Wanted to chime in here. What you’re wanting to set up is not possible. Shopify Payments does not support Stripe Radar, nor can you use Stripe as a payment provider if Shopify Payments is available in your country.
Shopify Payments provides fraud analysis per order. You can learn more about the feature in our Help Center.
@Trevor thanks for your input! So in a country unsupported by Shopify payments, I will then be able to select Stripe as a payment processor? And in that case, would I have to pay the additional 2.0% on top of Stripe’s 2.9% per transaction?
And how does Shopify payments compare to Stripe radar in terms of fraud prevention? Stripe Radar had features to know if the card number, CVV and expiration date were copy/ pasted as well as if there were any previous credit card disputes associated with the IP address of the customer. Can Shopify payments accomplish anything like this?
If you have a Stripe account that solution works regardless your store’s location-country and supports many payment methods supported by your Stripe account >> https://lnkd.in/diJN5YcB
