Hi, if I want to sell free stuff in my store at shopify, is there a good way to do it? I don’t want my costumers to need to enter their credit card number.

You can most definitely offer free products without requiring your customers to enter their credit card information in the checkout. To do so, you’ll just want to make sure your product price is $0.
However, keep in mind that if your customer selects a paid shipping option, then they’ll still be required to enter their payment details. If shipping is free, then they’ll simply bypass the payment stage in the checkout altogether and they’ll instead see a message indicating that their order is free and no payment is necessary.
With the product price at $0 and shipping free, here’s what the last stage of the checkout will look like for your customers:
Alternatively, have you considered offering a free gift with your customer’s purchase? This is a great way to incentivize customers and can really help boost sales. There are actually quite a few apps that will allow you to do this. If this interests you, some popular apps I recommend checking out include “Gift Box - Free Gift Motivator”, “Sales Motivator - Free Gifts”, and “Free Gifts by Secomapp”.
With these apps, you’ll be able to use pop-ups and banners to offer free gifts if your customers purchase a certain amount. You’ll also be able to automatically add the free gifts to the customer’s cart if their order meets certain requirements. If you’re still offering products for sale alongside your free products, then these apps may be worth looking into.
What kind of free products will you be offering? Are you going to be charging customers shipping or will you be shipping them for free as well?

I did this but whenever I list it as zero there is no option to add it to cart. Its a digital e-book and I’ve used the digital downloads app to create the link but I want them to have to subscribe/order it so that I have their details on our subscriber list. Thanks
Is there a way that we can offer a free product with free shipping, but to restrict free shipping to ONLY this product? I don’t want people to order a free product with free shipping and then to order 100 pounds of product just for the free shipping.
