Carrier Calculated Shipping UK - Royal Mail

Hi, We are looking at Carrier Calculated Shipping for our UK store to enable us to access the service with Royal Mail, does anyone currently use this? We are only able to access labels for Hermes at the moment and we wanted to see if it worked the same and what Royal Mail services could be accessed.

Hi @DC_Equestrian ,

You need to enable carrier calculated shipping feature to get live rates at the checkout. There are 3 ways to get this feature in your store;

  • Add this feature for an additional $20/month on your current Shopify plan
  • Choose a yearly subscription for your current Shopify plan, with which you can get this option for free.
  • Upgrade your plan to Advanced Shopify Plan

Once you have chosen any option, you can have a chat with Shopify support to enable this in your store.

Now, since Shopify does not have direct integration with Royal Mail, you can check out the Multi Carrier Shipping Label app that helps you automate the shipping process with ease. You can check out the app with a 14-day free trial and contact the support for any assistance required.

Thanks for the response, we are already looking at the yearly subscription with Shopify on the basis that we can access Carrier Calculated Shipping. Are you saying that for us to access Royal Mail once we have this facility we then need to add an additional app from Multi Carrier Shipping Label app?

I have just taken a look at the app but again it has no information with regards to the service that you get from Royal Mail or what any of those services would cost which is what we are trying to ascertain before we start adding app’s
