Change product image based on selected variant dawn theme

Hello there!

I am switching from Debut to Dawn theme 4.0

I’d like to know how to change the product image based on the selected variant.

One of my product , the SUEDE PENNY LOAFER comes with 2 different “Toe Shape” and I’d like only to show the images of the product when one of the two “Toe Shape” variant is selected.

Right now all images show up, regardless of the “toe shape” variant selected. This would make the UX bad and also confusing, cause the customer might not understand which “Toe Shape” variant he is viewing.

From Shoe Collection go to Casual&Lifestyle and select the SUEDE PENNY LOAFER

Below the screen shot of how the product images appear on the new unpublished Dawn Theme.

For Debut theme I used to use the app Variant Wizard, but for the new Dawn Theme I’d rather prefer edit the code rather than installing the app.

Any help or suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Saw that tutorial already, but is not working. I have also commented that video, but even with the modifications advised nothing changed.

Anyhow I found a temporary solution.
