How to show image of variant selected in product pages : dawn theme

Hi! Any suggestions on how to only have the product image of the variant selected? I switched from debut to dawn and now my product page shows both variant images as a scroll down. Before it had the other option as a small thumbnail.

Hello @ACV ,

To display product image of the variant selected you need a callback function. If you know about it you can search in google more about it. If not then without customization it’s not possible.

Before it had the other option as a small thumbnail:
Check in product page setting there an option is available to change it.

Thanks Websensepro this worked well except that thumbnails no longer behaving like thumbnails unless I refresh page after each time a different variant is selected. Thumbnails can’t be clicked to become main image then push F5 and ok. Is there a way to fix that also?

i managed to make the thumbnails clickable now but the problem I still have is that the main product image for each variant no longer shows as a thumbnail so can’t switch back to the main image without changing to another variant and back again. I tried just adding the main image for each variant twice so makes it show as a thumbnail. Ok on desktop but on mobile there are two identical images in the slider. Is there a way to make sure the main image for each variable is included in the row of thumbnails so I don’t have to add it twice and have it show twice on mobile view?
