Changing Gift card image for various designs

Hi, we have set up mutiple designs for the gift card options, so customers can have more choice rather than just one design, like Target.com or Starbucks.com. However, I realize when customer receive email of their gift card order, the gift card image in the email does not change according to the gift card image they chose. I have learned how to change the image from standard to the custom one, but it only allows for one image.

Is there a way that I can achive that so customer can receive image in the email as the same one they pick online?

You could create variants for gift-card product:

  • Create a Gift card with Denominations list and save.
  • From your Shopify admin, go to Products > Gift cards.
  • Click View gift card products.
  • Click the gift card that you want to edit.
  • In the Variants section, add images from Media.
  • Click Save.

Further, depending on the choice of the variant of the gift card (10$, 20$, 50$ etc.) the image will change to the one that is added to this variant.

were you able to solve for this? I went the variant route but can’t seem to get it to feed into the emails to match the selected image.
