Hi, I connected my domains (www.moneir.co and www.moneir.mx) to shopify and everything was ok until I started receiving a warning message: CNAME record is not pointing to Shopify, I went to GoDaddy where my domains are from and the record CNAME www is pointing to the same domain and no to shopify but it wont let me to change it because it says that I cannot change a record that has been already applied by a product or service connected to my domain, what can I do here? Thanks
This may be incorrect but …
Shopify recommends that the www points to shops.myshopify.com on their docs.
Your records are pointing to the root domain which potentially why you saw that Shopify alert.
Make sure your domain records match their tutorials for third-party domains.

Hi @tefm ,
Thank you for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear about the issues with your domain. The domain seems to work fine on my end which is good news. However, CNAME should point to shops.myshopify.com. If you are unable to edit this within GoDaddy account then it’s best to get in touch with their support and advised on the issue. Often they will be able to update it for you.
