My domain was initially connected without any issues. However, unexpectedly, a warning message appeared stating: Your domain’s CNAME record is not directing to Shopify. Please refer to Picture 1.
When I attempted to add a CNAME record on the GoDaddy website, an error message occurred, as shown in Picture 2.
I was advised to update my Shopify’s IP address to 23.227.38.65, but the existing Shopify IP address is 23.227.38.32 and cannot be modified or removed. Picture 3.
Is there anyone who can offer assistance with this matter?
Look for any records with the name “www”. You might have multiple records like A, CNAME, or even TXT records with the same name. Delete or modify the conflicting record.
Also as per dns checker your record is point to 23.227.38.32 . you can check this screenshot
I can see you’ve already got some advice shared here by the Community, that’s great to see!
I’d definitely check to see if there are any other CNAME records in place, or indeed any other records that refer to ‘shops.myshopify.com’, and remove them, leaving only the correct one (shown in your screenshot).
If you’re unable to get this working yourself, you can reach out to GoDaddy support here, who’ll be able to provide support for their domain hosting.
If you’re not able to get this set up by yourself, let me know as much as you can about how this appears for you (including screenshots of any error messages or directions you see) so we can work on this together!
Similar recent notification about CNAME with domain with GoDaddy. This is a bit out of my tech acumen so any insight/solutions would be appreciated. Here are screen shots.
