Collection header global / unique instance

Topic summary

Clarifies how a “collection header” can be unique per collection page while being applied globally, versus adding a standard section (e.g., “image-with-text”) that requires duplicating for each collection.

Seeks the specific code/implementation that lets a single collection header render unique content across different collection pages.

Goal: Create a reusable custom section for collection pages that can have unique content per collection without duplicating the section for each collection.

No technical details, code, or solutions provided yet; no decisions or actions recorded.

Attachment: a humorous squirrel GIF is included but not central to the question.

Status: Open question; guidance on the underlying mechanism enabling per-collection uniqueness is requested.

Hi y’all,

I’m wondering what the difference is between for example a collection header, which applies across all headers of all collections but in a unique fashion, compared to when you hack add a section like “image-with-text” that you need to make new section for each of them.

what is the specific code that makes the collection header able to be unique across all the different collection pages - it would be way easier to be able to create a custom section for your custom collection page - but not have to dupe it for each custom collection.

if you know what I mean you know what I mean. If you don’t know what I mean I can’t help you. here is a gif of a squirrel.
