Hi,
I have a shopify store in India. I want to have differential pricing in countries outside India so I am using Shopify markets to set a different price for my products outside India (just to clarify, shopify does not have shopify payments still in India). I wanted to understand what will happen when I use the paid version of a currency converter app (eg, https://apps.shopify.com/currency-converter-11 or Auto Currency Switcher - Multi Currency converter and checkout based on Geolocation | Shopify App Store). When a customer opens the website outside India ( eg in US), will it show the product’s India price converted to USD or will it show the product’s differential pricing shown in USD? To give clarity on my question:
- I have a top that I sell at INR 2000 in India.
- I have set the price for this top to Rs.3000 in the US market through Shopify Markets.
- I have installed the paid version of your app and auto currency conversion is enabled.
- When a customer opens the website in the US, will the price shown to him be 24.18 USD (INR 2000 converted to USD) or will it be 36.27 USD (INR 3000 converted to USD)?
Let me know if anyone has solved this issue with Shopify Markets and currency converter apps. I have tried multiple app, but none of them have worked & we have been stuck with this requirement for a long time now.
Thanks and Regards,
Priyanka
