Conversion Details Missing from Orders

Conversion details missing from orders lately, what is going on? Any fixes?

@Debra_Jambor
This could be related to Shopify’s conversion tracking, customer privacy settings, or changes in your marketing pixels. I’d recommend checking your Shopify Customer Events, Google Analytics 4, and Meta Pixel integrations first. Sometimes consent settings or tracking issues prevent conversion details from appearing correctly.

Hey Debra, is it happening on every order or just some?

If you added a cookie banner or changed anything under Settings > Customer privacy lately, that’s could be it. When a customer declines tracking, the order shows no conversion details.

Orders from the Shop app, POS, or draft orders usually don’t have them anyway.

OK, I will ask marketing team on Wed when I meet.

Yes, I did add a cookie banner. Should I remove it?

I wouldn’t remove it, it may be required depending on where your customers are. Some orders missing conversion details is normal now, since anyone who clicks decline won’t be tracked.

If it’s happening on almost every order though, the banner may not be correctly sending the data to Shopify. Are you using Shopify’s built-in banner or something else? And is it set to show to everyone or only in regions that require it?
