This post is most similar to an issue (https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/cors-issue-for-font-family-https-fonts-shopifycdn-com-avenir/td-p/1125920) posted to these forums from 2 years ago.
For some reason, our Shopify store website has the following link in its header tag:
When I visit the store website, the browser throws the following error:
Access to link prefetch resource at ‘https://fonts.shopifycdn.com/open_sans/opensans_n4.5460e0463a398b1075386f51084d8aa756bafb17.woff2?valid_until=MTcwNDM5MTM0Mg&hmac=40f721dafb1079129b2464a662035b9c01fbd7f55a91390bb89c07fe780beca7’ from origin ‘https://houseofanansi.com’ has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource.
Our site relies on Shopify CDNs to function, of course, but in those cases the site links to cdn.shopify.com or {shop}.myshopify.com/cdn, both of which are fine in terms of there being no CORS issues. I’m not sure what the domain fonts.shopifycdn.com is though.
I’m guessing that something in our theme, or in our current theme settings, is causing Shopify to try to link out to that other domain, but for the life of me I can’t figure out what is doing it.
Does anyone have experience with this issue?
(Edited for clarity. Had to reauthenticate in the middle of writing my issue. sigh )
