Csv prouct import file - possible to add metafield values?

Hi Everyone

My question - Is it possible to add metafield values to the cvs product import file when i load my products into my store?

I currently load hundreds of products into my store via the product upload csv. I then need to go into each one and enrich each with 3 x meta field values. Is there a way I can add these values to the file at the point of import? This would save me a lot of time.

Hi Avet,

Yes, of course. I add 3 x values for the products I sell. These are team name, season and brand.

I sell football shirts and add the name of the team e.g. Liverpool, the season they wore it e.g 1997/98 and then the brand e.g adidas.

These values will obviously vary for every product we list.

Fyi - we were using the shopify core field ‘vendor’ for another purpose, but not any more, so we are in process of moving this back to reporting ‘brand’. So we will be down to 2 x metafields instead of 3.

Unfortunately, it is not possible with Shopify standard interface. You will need to use an app such as Matrixify.

You sure can bulk import and export Metafields with our app along with other Product data.
Here we have written a great tutorial on how to do just that with our app - How to manage Shopify Metafields?
