I’m working on an AI addon for online stores and would love to get your honest feedback before pursuing it further.

I have created a single-click installation AI chat widget that at its core, aims to boost sales as well as provide customer support. Unlike other chatbot widgets, this one specializes in e-commerce - it knows everything about your products in real time, knows what products to recommend to users based on their likelihood to purchase, can navigate and take user from page to page answering questions and convincing them to move forward, nudging to proceed when necessary, it can even choose a product for the user and offer add-on items. It can answer questions about products immediately and forwards to a human rep when necessary. There are more features that I can’t disclose here.

Basically, It’s like a clerk at a clothing store helping you find what you’re looking for and suggesting additional items to complete your purchase - walking you through the entire process and reassuring you to proceed with buying as many items as possible.

I’d love to know:

I’ve seen a lot of stores get a lift from sales bots, but only when the bot can actually act like a product guide rather than a generic Q&A widget. I work at eesel AI and our Shopify chatbot tries to do that by pulling in your whole catalog and giving image based recommendations in a pretty lightweight setup. There’s complete control with our plain text prompt about how pushy, what questions/funnel you want it to use, recommending products and ‘add to cart’ buttons.

If a bot can handle sizing questions, surface variants, and point people to the right product fast, it usually pays for itself. The key is keeping it helpful without being pushy.
