Customer needs to upload a second address? Is that possible? Open to apps as a solution.

Topic summary

Customer needs to let buyers enter a second shipping address for one order. Native Shopify does not appear to support multiple shipping addresses at checkout; a workaround is collecting the second address as a note via Custom Data, which the poster considers sloppy.

Recent updates:

  • Poster found the “GiftShip” app and is evaluating it for multi-address shipping.
  • Still cannot locate a “Multi‑Shipping address” app and requests a direct link.
  • Requests more detail and learning resources for “Custom Fields” and “Infinite Options.”

Key terms:

  • Custom Data/Custom Fields: adding input fields to product/cart or order notes to capture extra information (e.g., a second address).
  • Infinite Options: app-based product options/fields to collect additional customer inputs.

Status: Unresolved. Action needed includes sharing a link to the suggested multi-shipping app and guidance on how to implement Custom Fields/Infinite Options for collecting a second address. No decisions or concrete outcomes yet.

I am running a service that sends a package to two different addresses. Is there a way to let the customer enter an additional address? I don’t believe that this is possible using the standard platform unless I request that the customer enters the second address as a note (which I can set up using the Custom Data option) - this feels like a really sloppy solution to the problem.

I am open to using an app to solve this problem, but I was not able to find an App that does this.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the reply.
I was able to find the “GiftShip” app, but I can’t find the “Multi-Shipping address” app - are you able to send a link to that?

Also - can you provide more detail on the “Custom Fields” option as well as the “infinite Options”? Where can I learn more about that?
