Customer Notifications and Emails Go to Spam

Hi all,

I have been having an issue with customers not receiving emails. I am not sure if it’s every person or just some of them. I have only heard from the few who said they didn’t get the notification. My domain was purchased through Shopify and is www.shopourstoyours.com. I am trying to make sure this doesn’t happen. Can anyone help with how I can correct this? I’ve chatted with multiple people, but they never seem to know what to do. Thanks!

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your store. I have a few questions to help troubleshoot this further.

  • Of the customers that reported the issue, are there any similarities in the email provider? (i.e, are they all gmail, hotmail, etc).
  • Are these emails arriving in the customers spam/junk boxes instead?
  • Is the email you have in Settings/General for “Sender email” a valid email? - Is this email a custom email (i.e @yourstorename.com) or is this through a provider such as gmail?
