Dawn Theme - Venmo payment shows in checkout when it's not enabled

Hi all,

I was wondering how I can disable the Venmo payment option at checkout as the icon still shows when I look under my payment settings I do not have it enabled at all.

Also another thing, I was wondering how I can get the Afterpay express checkout button and the “Continue to Afterpay” when you click on the cart. I have Afterpay enabled but I can’t seem to find out how to enable these buttons.

Hi, @dominnows .

Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention.

It looks like you’re referring to the accelerated checkout button for Venmo, which can be disabled under the Payment settings. However, if this wasn’t enabled to begin with, then it looks like we’ll need to access your account in order to resolve this issue. While we’re unable to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit the Shopify Help Center and log into your account to create a support request.

As for adding the AfterPay express checkout buttons, I was able to find their guide for Shopify here: Add Payment Option. If you need further assistance with this, then we’d recommend getting in touch with AfterPay directly through the AfterPay Help Center.

I’d love to hear more about your business! What kinds of products are you selling? Do you have a marketing plan prepared for your store?

Hi thanks for all of this information Elias!

I’m selling unisex minimalistic clothing infused with intention and meaning. I plan to do most of my marketing via Instagram and through fashion influencers.

Hi, @dominnows .

Thanks for following up!

Since you’re looking to start a clothing business, then we’ve got this amazing blog, ‘How To Start a Clothing Business,’ which can provide some tips and suggestions for when you’re just starting out. On the other hand, we’ve also got some strategies on influencer marketing listed on another blog here: ‘Influencer Marketing.

That being said, since you’re selling minimalistic clothing with an emphasis on intention and meaning, then we’ve also got some minimalistic style themes that may be something of interest for you later on.

If you have any other questions on this topic, don’t hesitate to let me know!
