My website is showing as Deceptive and has been since the very start of building it. Not sure if anyone can figure out why. My DNS is all working fine.

This issue is happening due to the SSL not configure properly. That mean your domain don’t have a Secure SSL. Make sure you must have a Secure SSL. Can you let me know where from your purchase the domain. There are many of the domain provider. And most of them don’t provide the secure SSL.
The best option to purchase the domain from Shopify which provides you the secure SSL.
This is a serious but common issue especially with new Shopify sites, and it’s usually not DNS-related even though it feels like it might be.
Google flags sites as deceptive when they believe the site may:
Be phishing
Be impersonating a brand
Be collecting personal info without trust signals
Look unfinished or suspicious
Contain redirects, cloaking, or risky scripts
Have domain history issues (very common)
I purchased it through Google which is with Squarespace
Would this change once the website it complete?
No it will NOT automatically fix itself just because the website is complete.
But yes, the fact that the domain was purchased via Google (Squarespace domains) is a very strong clue to what’s happening.

Virustotal lists Fortinet and Webroot as sources of your trouble.
For Fortinet you can lookup your site at Web Filter Lookup | FortiGuard Labs and contact them for a review there.
