Dimensions for all the images on debut theme

Hi,

I am totally new to the shopify community, I have decided to create my store on debut theme. I have seen many people struggling with the dimensions as they see it differently on desktop and mobile versions.

I would want to know the dimensions which would fit best for desktop as well as mobile version for the following

1- Image with Text overlay- Desktop and Mobile versions dimensions

2- Image with text

3- Text column with images

4- Featured collection

5- Testimonials

6- Gallery

Please help me with these dimensions, so I can create the images accordingly. I do not want to see my images cropped out on mobile and stretched on desktop.

Welcome to the community.

The Debut theme unfortunately does not handle images well when it comes to responsiveness. As you can see even in the original theme demo, on mobile the picture of the woman is completely shifted to the right, making it look cut off. This is not ideal. Anyhow, I personally would recommend sticking with pictures that are 16/9 or 21/9.

Also you may want to take a look into this, it can be a potentially worthwhile solution for your scenario.
