Hello, we have a problem with the tracking on Shopify. The direct traffic share has suddenly increased in Analytics since the 24/9/2020. Our client has been on Shopify Premium since around October. One of the biggest differences for us is that the checkout tracking seems to work differently on the Premium account. The error is that a large part of the sales are assigned to Direct, but strangely enough the checkout is always the entry page. This suggests that a redirect happens via one or more payment methods and the previous referrer is lost. Since we have the payment methods on the link exclusion list, it is not “PayPal” etc. under Source but “Direct”. What could be the reason? Thank you!
