Discount Apps Conditions For - 20% off one item

Hi! I am looking for a discount app where I can create a discount of 20% off one item. Shopify support recommended the below apps but none of them seem to offer 20% off one item. Does anyone know an app that offers this?

I’d be happy to look into and offer some solutions to your need. With that said, I’d just like to confirm some things before making some recommendations.

Is it correct that you want the 20% to apply to a single product and one product only, regardless of how many other products a customer has in the cart? Also, does this 20% off a single item apply for a collection of products in your store or is there a single, specific product you want this to apply to?

For example, You offer 20% off a $100 red T-Shirt.

Customer cart:
Red T Shirt ($100) + 20% off = $80
Blue T Shirt ($100)

Orange T Shirt ($100)
Total: $280

Yes we want it off of one product and one product only. We want it off of
one full price item no sale items. I made specific collections already. I
also would like the discount to apply to the highest priced item in
someone’s cart. For instance if they have multiple items in their cart I
want the 20% off to apply to the most expensive item.

Currently, it’s not possible to create a discount within Shopify’s native discount tool to provide a percentage off only the highest-priced product in a cart that belongs to a specific collection. Instead, you can create a percentage-based discount to work on specific products, specific collections, or an entire order.

In the meantime, I did a quick search in our App Store, and I also was not able to find any apps that could do the trick, however, what you can do is reach out to a Shopify expert. They can assist you in building a custom solution to get a feature like this in your store. You can see a list of our experts and how to post a job here.

Alternatively, the app Ultimate Special Offers by Pixel Union Apps does allow a feature that gives you the ability to discount the lowest costing product in the cart. This app is $9 USD/month and has a 14-day free trial. Might be worth exploring.

We use the app Automatic Discounts & Gifts to run this promotion. It’s clunky, but it works.
