How can I apply a 100% discount to specific items only?

Hi,

I wanted to offer 3 products (100% discount) on every order. But only in these 3 items. If the customer buys 10, he needs to have 100% discount only on those 3. If the customer buys 3, he needs to have 100% discount on the total order.

Any idea how to do it?

Great question. Would it be the same 3 products which have the discount every time or could those products vary and it’s more about having a number of discounts and not specific products?

I’m wondering this because of the scenario where a customer purchases only 2 of the discounted items and then a third which isn’t to be discounted?

There are a number of buy x get y apps in the Shopify App store and while what you’re looking for is quite customised, I wonder if they can do what you need. If after taking a look through them and they can’t it seems like getting something custom made is the best shout. You can find a Shopify Expert in the Expert directory here.

Other than this discount feature, how’s the rest of your store going?

Hey @URBAN_FOODS ,

Why don’t you try “Free gift on purchase”? Keep these products as a Free gift, so a 100% discount will be applied automatically on those products.

Or you can just show those products in the cart (as a product upsell) with the Selling price of 0.

Or you can create a product bundle with a 100% discount and offer it to your customers.
