Discount code field issues

Topic summary

Issue: A Shopify store using a quantity-discount app shows discount code input fields inconsistently between cart and checkout, depending on item quantity.

Observed behavior:

  • For a single item, the discount code field appears at checkout but not in the cart.
  • For two or more items, the discount code field appears in the cart but not at checkout.

Desired outcome: Allow customers to enter and apply discount codes both in the cart and later during checkout.

Recent update: Another participant checked schnuerlos.de and could not find any discount code input boxes, asking if the issue has been resolved. A screenshot was provided indicating the inputs are missing.

Actions/decisions: No fixes or configuration changes reported yet; no concrete solution proposed.

Status: Open and unresolved. Key questions remain about why the discount code field toggles based on quantity and why it is currently not visible, possibly related to the quantity-discount app or theme settings.

Hello,

Maybe someone can help me:

I use an app for quantity discounts for certain products and I now have a problem when customers want to use additional discount codes. As long as the customer wants to buy only one piece of this item, they have the option to enter an additional discount code in the checkout process but not in the shopping cart (see Screenshot 1). But if the customer wants to buy 2 or more of this item, he can enter the discount code in the cart, but not later in the checkout process (see Screenshot 2). I would like my customers to be able to enter and use a discount code both in the shopping cart and later in the checkout process.

Thank you!

Nicolas

Hey Nicolas! @mariomunez

Did you get this sorted yet? I’m checking that on your website but do not see the discount code input boxes.
